



Begin an unforgettable adventure to the Petrified Forest from El Calafate, on a tour that combines natural history and the most impressive landscapes of the Patagonian steppe.
What to expect
Around 9am we start the activity with the pick up from hotels in El Calafate.
We make a 15-minute technical stop at La Leona, an important historical site.
We continue our journey until we reach the trekking starting point. This way, we begin our exploration walk. During our walk, we will be able to observe various fossil remains and petrified logs lying on the surface.
Halfway through the route, we will enjoy a picnic-style lunch surrounded by the silence and vastness of the steppe.
We will start the return at 2:00 pm with a new stop at Hotel La Leona, arriving in El Calafate between 4:30 and 5:00 pm.

- The hike is of medium physical level, lasts 3 hours and takes place on a firm but uneven surface.
