What to expect
The tour begins with pickup from your accommodation, whether in La Serena or the surrounding areas (in the tourist sector of La Serena). The transport will take you to the Elqui Valley, a destination famous for its clear skies, ideal for astronomical observation.
5 HoursUpon arrival at the Astronias Astronomical Observation Center, you will begin the activity with an educational talk about astronomy. The guide will introduce you to the fascinating world of stars, planets, and the wonders of the universe, providing you with the knowledge needed to fully enjoy the observation.
30 MinutesAfter the talk, you will proceed to the observation terrace, where high-end telescopes are located. Here, you will be able to observe various celestial bodies such as planets, stars, and constellations, guided by an expert in the field.
5 HoursAfter the observation, you will receive an astrophotograph taken during the experience, so you can take home a tangible memory of this incredible astronomical adventure.
15 MinutesAfter the activity, transport will take you back to your accommodation, concluding the tour with an unforgettable memory of the cosmos.
2 HoursWhat you should know
- The tour is subject to weather conditions. If the tour is canceled due to cloudiness, passengers will be notified of a date change. If rescheduling is not possible, we will refund the payment made.
- During full moon days, the tour becomes a lunar tour because the moon's brightness interferes with the clarity with which we can see other celestial bodies and the sky.
