What to expect
Reception in Malargüe. Talk with the guides and preparations for departure. After the talk, we will distribute the saddlebags and separate only the essentials for the expedition, leaving the rest at the hotel. Dinner and overnight at the selected accommodation.
Breakfast and departure by van to El Soler. Lunch at Puesto Araya, typical of the Andes. We begin the horseback ride crossing the Atuel River, heading west. At sunset, we set up our Base camp at the El Barroso area. Dinner and overnight.
Breakfast and departure. In the morning we reach the source of the Las Lagrimas stream, this day's journey will be the hardest as after four hours of uphill horseback riding, we reach 3,700 meters above sea level arriving at the site where the plane wreckage is located on the Las Lagrimas Glacier. We will silently pay tribute to the victims, then survey the site. Lunch. Descent back to Base camp. Dinner and overnight.
Breakfast and camp dismantling. We ride back to Puesto Araya. Lunch. Return by van to the hotel, stopping on the way for a thermal bath at the old hotel. Farewell at the hotel. End of our services.
