What to expect
We will start the day from Merlo with the transfer to the starting point of the route. Before mounting the horses, we will receive an introductory talk about handling and the necessary instructions to carry out the horseback ride through the mountain trails.
We will begin the horseback ride towards Pueblo Escondido, traveling mountain paths surrounded by nature. During the ascent, we will enjoy panoramic views, mountain landscapes, and the natural surroundings of the region until we reach the old mining settlement.
We will visit Pueblo Escondido, where we will learn about its ruins and part of the history related to the mining activity in the area. This old town is located in a deep valley between the mountains, surrounded by natural scenery.
We will continue the horseback ride towards Salto del Tigre, a 22-meter-high waterfall located in a mountain setting. There we will have time to rest and contemplate the natural landscape.
We will start the return to Merlo descending through the mountain paths, enjoying new views of the mountain landscape as we finish the horseback riding day.
