



What to expect
The day begins with pick-up from Puerto Varas. From there, we head toward Chacao Channel, enjoying the scenic landscape as we make our way to the first destination.
1 HourWe start the adventure with a ferry ride across Chacao Channel, where you can enjoy panoramic views, spot various birds, and, with luck, observe sea lions in their natural habitat.
30 MinutesUpon arriving in Chacao, we’ll take a brief visit to this charming town. Discover the main square and its iconic church, showcasing Chiloé’s traditional architecture and the peaceful island lifestyle.
30 MinutesNext, we head to Ancud, where we’ll explore its main square, market, artisan fair, and the historic San Antonio Fort, a symbol of the city’s cultural and historical heritage. There is also an optional educational talk at the Friends of Chiloé Churches Foundation, focused on UNESCO World Heritage churches.
1 HourOur next stop is Castro, the capital of Chiloé. Here, we’ll visit the famous Gamboa stilt houses, the main square, and its church. Take your time to explore this vibrant city, full of color and Chilote traditions.
1 HourWe end the tour in Dalcahue, where you’ll visit the waterfront, market, artisan fair, and its church. This charming port offers the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in Chiloé’s rich culture and unique atmosphere.
1 HourAt the end of the tour, we return to Puerto Varas, bringing back memories of a day filled with history, culture, and unique landscapes in Chiloé.
