What to expect
Pick up at your accommodation in Puerto Varas at the agreed time. Guide introduction and equipment check before starting the journey.
30 MinutesTransportation to the La Picada sector on the slopes of Osorno Volcano, where our hike begins at 700 meters above sea level.
1 HourWe begin the hike through a forest of Coihue trees, gradually ascending 400 meters. Enjoy the native flora as we climb to 1,100 meters, where we’ll have our first panoramic view of Cerro La Picada.
2 HoursWe start the descent through volcanic landscapes, with stunning views of Lake Todos Los Santos and its surroundings.
1 HourArrival at La Picada Viewpoint, where we’ll enjoy a snack while taking in the scenery, including views of Osorno and Calbuco Volcanoes, Cerro Tronador, Puntiagudo, and Sierra Santo Domingo.
45 MinutesWe continue descending towards the lake, where we can cool off in the waters of Lake Todos Los Santos before heading to the Petrohué sector.
1 HourReturn to Puerto Varas via the southern slope of Osorno Volcano, passing by the Petrohué Falls and the village of Ensenada, where our adventure concludes.
