Experience a three-day expedition through the Central Andes towards the Tupungato Refuge. Walk among glaciers, valleys, and mountains with certified guides, enjoying the tranquility of the high mountain range and nights under a starry sky.

What to expect

Day 1: Pick up at your accommodation within the urban area of Santiago

Departure to Cajón del Maipo, El Alfalfal checkpoint and hike to the Colorado River Valley with a stop at the Blue Baths.

Day 2: Ascent to the Tupungato Refuge

Hike to the refuge crossing glaciers and rock formations. Free afternoon for rest and group dinner.

Day 3: Rest at the refuge (optional easy trekking "Vega de los Flojos")

Rest day at the refuge with the option to do an easy level trek to "Vega de los Flojos". Ending the day with a barbecue in the afternoon.

Day 4: Descent and drop off at your accommodation within the urban area of Santiago

Begin the descent to the base, then return to each one's accommodation.
