What to expect
The day begins at 6:00 AM with the pickup from your hotel. From there, we will head towards the abandoned sulfur mine, taking a comfortable and safe vehicle ride through the stunning landscapes of the Atacama Desert. During the trip, your guide will provide information about the natural environment and local history.
1 HourOur adventure continues with a stop at an old, abandoned sulfur mine. Here, we will enjoy a delicious breakfast while receiving instructions for the ascent to the Sairecabur Volcano. This place is located 5,400 meters above sea level, allowing us to acclimate before starting the hike.
2 HoursThe ascent to Sairecabur Volcano takes approximately 3 hours, depending on the group's pace. Along the hike, we will have the opportunity to admire the impressive crater of the volcano, which dominates the landscape with its grandeur and natural beauty.
3 HoursUpon reaching the summit, we will enjoy an unparalleled view that stretches from the Atacama Desert to the surrounding mountains and volcanoes. This will be the ideal moment to rest, take photographs, and enjoy the breathtaking natural surroundings.
2 HoursAfter enjoying the views and atmosphere at the summit, we begin the descent. We will then return to San Pedro de Atacama and drop off participants at their respective hotels, concluding this unforgettable day.
