



What to expect
Early morning pick-up to start the transfer in a 4x4 vehicle to the starting point of the hike.
3 HoursThe journey begins by vehicle to the Mamey sector. From there, the ascent trek begins, following the footsteps of the ancient Tayronas. You will reach the first farm equipped with hammocks for an overnight stay. You can enjoy a refreshing bath in the nearby natural pools and waterfalls to relax your muscles.
6 HoursWake up early for breakfast and start the descent to the Buritaca River Valley. Along the way, you will pass through Mutanshi, a small indigenous village of the Kogui ethnic group. The hike continues for approximately 4 hours through the jungle until you reach the next shelter, where you will spend the night in hammocks protected by mosquito nets.
8 HoursA day of approximately 4 and a half hours on trails within the Sierra Nevada Natural Park. You will cross the Buritaca River several times and observe traces of the ancient inhabitants of the region. The goal is to reach the second indigenous cabin (usually known as Paraíso), the base before the final ascent, where you will have dinner and rest.
8 HoursThe most anticipated day begins with climbing 1,200 stone steps to reach Teyuna, the Lost City. You will explore the sacred terraces, ceremonial sites, and archaeological dwellings accompanied by a guide who will explain the history and worldview of the Tayrona. After the visit, you will descend for lunch and begin the return to the previous cabin for an overnight stay.
8 HoursEarly breakfast and a hike back, passing through the Mutanshi sector and continuing to the starting point in El Mamey. You will enjoy a final lunch with the group before boarding the 4x4 vehicle that will take you back to civilization after days of natural connection.
8 HoursArrival in the city in the late afternoon, concluding the experience.

- Trekking boots or well-worn shoes with good grip
- Lightweight, quick-drying clothing (long pants and long-sleeved shirts)
- Swimsuit and microfiber towel
- High-power insect repellent and sunscreen
- Use of drones without prior permission from indigenous communities
- Consumption of drugs or hallucinogenic substances
- Leaving trash on trails or campsites
- Extracting flora, fauna or archaeological remains
- Minimum age: 12 years
- A minimum number of participants is required for the activity to take place. If this number is not reached, it will be rescheduled for another date or a refund will be made
