Best season

The best time to travel to Brazil is generally from September to November and from March to May, right in the intermediate months between summer and winter. This period offers pleasant temperatures and avoids the heaviest rains, making it ideal to enjoy the beaches of Rio de Janeiro and the Northeast, as well as to go hiking and tours through the lush nature, such as the Pantanal, before the heat becomes excessive. The high season, with the highest influx of tourists and the highest prices, coincides with summer (December to February), especially around Christmas, New Year, and the famous Carnival (which usually falls between February and March), so it is recommended to book well in advance if planning to travel during those dates.

Weather

Brazil, due to its vast extension, has a predominantly tropical climate, ranging from equatorial in the Amazon to subtropical in the south. In most of the country, temperatures remain high, with an average range from 20°C to 30°C. The highest maximum temperatures, which can exceed 35°C, are generally recorded during summer (December to March), especially in the interior and the Northeast. The minimum temperatures usually occur in the south and southeast during winter (June to August), ranging from 10°C to 15°C in metropolitan areas, although in the subtropical regions of the far south they can occasionally drop below 5°C.
