What to expect
Reception of participants and preparation to start the kayaking journey on the Lacantún River.
Navigation through calm class 1 waters, surrounded by jungle and natural landscapes near the Montes Azules Biosphere Reserve.
Walk along a trail where large ceiba trees, jungle vegetation, and archaeological remains hidden in nature can be observed.
Break on the river beaches to rest, swim in permitted areas, and enjoy the natural surroundings.
Time to enjoy a snack before ending the kayaking activity in the Lacandon Jungle.
What you should know

- We recommend staying at the Río Ixcán Campground. This establishment is located on the banks of the Lacantún River (the river where we do kayaking), within the Montes Azules Biosphere Reserve.
