What to expect
Our transportation will pick you up to start the transfer to the trekking starting point.
1 HourWe will begin the hike along the volcano's slopes, first crossing cultivated fields and then entering the cloud forest.
5 HoursWe will make a stop to recharge with a simple lunch and continue the path to higher altitude.
1 HourWe arrive at the base camp, strategically located with views of the Fuego Volcano. The tents are set up and rest is taken.
1 HourWe will enjoy a hot dinner while observing the eruptions and constant activity of the neighboring volcano.
2 HoursWe will begin the final hike before dawn to reach the summit of Acatenango and see the sun from the highest point.
2 HoursWe return to the camp for a nutritious breakfast before starting the descent.
1 HourWe start the return hike along the previous day's route until reaching the meeting point with the transportation.
3 HoursThe transportation will take you back to your hotel in Antigua, concluding the adventure.
