What to expect
Pickup from the hotel in Cusco and transfer to the Málaga pass to start the bike ride to Santa María.
Free time to do rafting on the Vilcanota river or rest at the Santa María accommodation.
Walking tour on original Inca trails crossing coffee, coca, and tropical fruit plantations in the high jungle.
After lunch at a local family home, visit the outdoor thermal baths of Cocalmayo before continuing to Santa Teresa.
Free time for optional activities such as zip-lining and then hike to Hidroeléctrica and Aguas Calientes.
Ascent to Machu Picchu and guided tour of the archaeological site with free time to explore additional areas of the zone.
Return by train to Ollantaytambo and continuation by bus to the city of Cusco.
