What to expect
The day begins with a welcome at the base of Cerro Perito Moreno. Here you will meet your certified instructor, who will provide you with all the necessary equipment: board, boots, and helmet. The first part of the class will focus on theoretical and safety fundamentals. You will learn about the equipment, how to properly attach the bindings, and the basic stance to maintain balance. Then, on a gentle and safe slope, you will take your first steps on the board, practicing how to get up, slide in a straight line, and control speed using the heel and toe edges.
With the confidence gained during the morning, it is time to put your new skills into practice. The instructor will guide you to start making your first controlled turns and linking smooth curves on the beginner slope. The goal is for you to descend independently and safely, always under careful supervision and with personalized advice to improve your technique. You will enjoy the incredible feeling of sliding on the snow, surrounded by the stunning landscape of Patagonia, culminating your snowboarding initiation with an unforgettable experience.
