What to expect
Start of the transfer from El Chaltén to Punta Sur at Lago del Desierto, covering a 37 km route along the Río de las Vueltas. The pickup service begins at 11:00 and check-in at the office is at 10:45.
Check-in at the port and departure from Punta Sur towards the Vespignani Glacier Reserve, sailing on Lago del Desierto with views of the Huemul and Crestón glaciers. Boarding is at 12:45.
Arrival at the Vespignani Glacier area to carry out trekking on marked trails, with different difficulty options and views of the glacial environment. The activity starts at 13:30.
Departure back from the Vespignani area to Punta Sur, resuming navigation on Lago del Desierto. The departure is scheduled for 15:30.
Disembarkation at Punta Sur and end of the main activity. Afterwards, the land return to El Chaltén begins at 16:00, with an estimated arrival at 17:30.
