What to expect

Day 1: Cusco – Km 82 – Wayllabamba

Early departure from the hotel to km 82, the starting point of the Inca Trail. Hike to Patallaqta, an archaeological site with views of Mount Veronica. Start of the Inca Trail from Cusco to Km 82, with a walk through the Sacred Valley, a visit to Patallaqta and the setting up of the first camp in Wayllabamba.

Day 2: Wayllabamba – Warmiwañuska – Pacaymayo

Progressive ascent to the Warmiwañuska pass, the highest point of the route, followed by a descent to the Pacaymayo camp for rest.

8 Hours
Day 3: Pacaymayo – Runkurakay – Sayacmarca – Wiñaywayna

Long day with ascents and descents, visiting important Inca archaeological sites and advancing towards the jungle brow to the Wiñaywayna camp.
