Expedition to Cerro Penitentes: The Challenge of 4,350 meters above sea level is a classic four-day trek designed for mountaineering enthusiasts seeking to connect with the vastness of the Mendoza mountain range.
What to expect
We meet in the morning in Mendoza and transfer to Penitentes, where we will begin our hike to the area of the Grajales Refuge, where we will set up camp at 3200 meters above sea level. Dinner and rest.
Rest and acclimatization day with short walks around the area. We will take the opportunity to talk about topics related to high mountain and trekking in general. We will have dinner and rest early.
Very early we will start the ascent to the summit of Cerro Penitentes along continuous slopes, enjoying the incredible views offered by the summit, such as the imposing south face of Aconcagua. We will descend to the camp to rest.
In the morning, after breakfast, we will dismantle the camp and begin the descent to the road, where we will take the transfer back to the city of Mendoza.
