What to expect
Starting at 7:30 AM, the bus begins its route picking up passengers from their hotels/accommodations to take them to their experience.
- Leaving early in the morning via International Route No. 7 towards the town of Cacheutas, skirting the Mendoza River, with majestic views of the Cordón del Plata mountain range and the Potrerillos Dam. - Then we continue towards Uspallata, heading to the villages of Picheuta, Polvaredas, Punta de Vacas. - Further ahead we will find Puente del Inca, a natural architectural work with thermal water springs.
A few kilometers from there, located at 2750 meters above sea level, is the viewpoint of Cerro Aconcagua, the giant of America at 6959 meters. Finally, we will visit the town of Las Cuevas (border with Chile at 3200 meters above sea level), and if weather and road conditions allow, we will conclude the excursion with a visit to the Christ the Redeemer monument.
Around midday, there is a stop to have lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon (around 5:30 PM), we return to the hotel.
What you should know
- It is recommended to wear clothing suitable for the type of activity and weather at the time of the activity. It is always good to bring water and snacks to regain energy. Do not underestimate the weather: bring sunscreen, sunglasses, appropriate clothing and/or warm clothing or a hat for the sun as needed
- Access to the Christ the Redeemer Monument is possible during the summer season, and subject to approval by the competent authorities, due to weather contingencies and the condition of the route.
