15 MinutesWe will visit the heart of Mérida's culinary movement, the market. We will learn about local ingredients, spices, and the daily life of food artisans.
30 MinutesFirst tasting stop to try the most representative Yucatecan snacks, understanding their origin and preparation.
20 MinutesWe will head to a restaurant operated by generations, where we will taste a main dish that represents the fusion of Mayan and Spanish cultures, such as cochinita pibil.
30 MinutesA refreshing stop to try traditional fresh waters. We will learn about the process of making these non-alcoholic beverages.
20 MinutesWe will observe or briefly participate in the making of handmade corn tortillas, a fundamental pillar of the Yucatecan diet.
25 MinutesWe will enjoy a final tasting stop, trying a local dessert. The guide will provide a summary of the experience and answer questions.
