What to expect
We begin our journey from Putre towards the slopes of the Nevados de Putre (Taapaca and Ancoma Volcanoes). From this privileged location, we enjoy stunning views of the horizon.
1 HourWe descend through the magnificent Quebrada de Allane, 250 meters deep, admiring rock formations and canyons. Here, the Azufre and Colpitas rivers converge, offering views of Tacora (Chile) and Chupiquiña (Peru) Volcanoes, forming a place of great scenic beauty.
1 HourWe visit the picturesque Colpitas Village, known for its flora and fauna, reflecting the natural and cultural richness of the Chilean altiplano.
30 MinutesWe explore the Cosapilla Wetland, a unique location inhabited by llamas and alpacas, surrounded by unmatched landscapes that combine wildlife and tranquility.
1 HourWe reach the base camp at 4,750 m.a.s.l. From here, we embark on a trek around Cerro Suriplaza (5,300 m.a.s.l.), with its colorful mountains and stunning landscapes, perfect for contemplation and photography.
2 HoursWe conclude the experience with a return to the town of Putre, enjoying the final views of the altiplano during the journey.
