What to expect
Transfer from the accommodation within the town of Hanga Roa to the starting point of the horseback ride.
Delivery of safety equipment, instructional talk, assignment of the horse according to experience and weight, and practical induction before starting the route.
Start of the horseback ride along a route away from public roads, crossing forests and plains towards the Terevaka hill.
Crossing the small Ava Ranga Uka ravine, a water passage that remains dry during the summer and originates higher up, in the Rano a Roi crater and wetland.
Rest point for the horses and from where you can see the entire island surrounded by blue.
Passage through this ancient volcanic crater, currently covered by dense totora vegetation and which accumulates rainwater during the winter.
Arrival at the top of Terevaka hill and pause for the horses to rest while enjoying the views of Rapa Nui.
Return by a different route, with views towards Hanga Roa during the golden hour and a slow and calm horseback ride.
Transfer from the end point to the accommodation within the town of Hanga Roa.
