What to expect
Pick up at the agency in the urban area of Salento
Meet with the mountain guide and transfer by 4x4 vehicle to the starting point of the ascent.
45 MinutesAscent through the Cloud Forest
Start the hike with environmental interpretation through steep trails and Andean vegetation.
2 Hours 30 MinutesEntry into the Páramo Ecosystem
Arrival at the frailejones and Romerales wetlands area with time for landscape observation and rest.
3 HoursDescent and return to the vehicle
Return hike along the same trail, taking extra precautions on the descent to the transport point.

Transfer back and end of the expedition at the starting point.

What to bring
- Trekking boots with good grip and waterproof
- Technical layered clothing (thermal, fleece and waterproof)
- Hat and gloves for mountain cold
- High protection sunscreen and lip balm

- Removing frailejones or any type of paramo flora
- Walking outside the trails established by the guide
- Leaving any type of organic or inorganic waste
- Consumption of alcohol or psychoactive substances

- High physical difficulty activity with an estimated duration of 8 to 10 hours of hiking
