What to expect
The tour begins in San Martín de los Andes to start the excursion towards the mountain landscapes of Patagonia.
You will arrive at Junín de los Andes, a Patagonian city known for its history, tranquility, and local culture.
You will visit the church of Laura Vicuña, a place of spiritual and architectural importance for the community.
You will continue to the mouth of the Chimehuín River, known for its connection to fishing and for originating in Lake Huechulafquen.
You will tour the area of Lake Huechulafquen, with views of the water, the Andean-Patagonian forest, and the Lanín volcano.
You will make a stop at a typical countryside restaurant run by members of the Mapuche community.
You will continue along route 61 until you reach Lake Paimún, a natural setting located at the foot of the Lanín volcano.
You will visit the Chapel of the Lake, surrounded by ancient araucarias and mountain landscapes.
At the end of the tour, you will return to San Martín de los Andes.
