What to expect
The adventure begins with the departure from San Martín de los Andes towards the base of Lanín Volcano. We will start a guided trek that will take us into a Patagonian forest of lenga and araucaria trees. As we gain altitude, the landscape changes, leaving behind the vegetation to give way to volcanic terrain that will lead us to the first impressive views of the south face, a spectacle of rock, ice, and wild nature.
This day we will focus on reaching the best viewpoints of the south face, strategic points from where the majesty of the volcano can be appreciated in all its splendor. We will enjoy breathtaking landscapes, with panoramic views of the lakes and the surrounding mountain range. After a photo session and a well-deserved rest in this unique environment, we will begin the descent to return to San Martín de los Andes, carrying with us the unforgettable experience of having connected with the Patagonian giant.
