What to expect
The day begins early, meeting at the starting point to head towards the heart of Lanín National Park. We will start the trek along a trail that goes into a dense forest of lenga and ancient araucaria trees. As we gain altitude, the terrain changes, leaving behind dense vegetation to give way to a more open and challenging volcanic landscape. The guide will set the pace and share knowledge about the local geology, flora, and fauna as we overcome the first slopes and prepare for the views ahead.
After the effort of the ascent, we will reach our goal: the base of Lanín Volcano on its south face. Here, the reward is a spectacular panoramic view and the imposing presence of the glacier and the volcano's walls. We will enjoy a well-deserved rest and lunch in a unique natural setting, capturing unforgettable photographs. With renewed energy, we will begin the descent along the same trail, appreciating the changing perspective of the landscape in the afternoon light. The journey ends upon returning to the starting point, with the satisfaction of having completed a memorable challenge.
