Embark on an exciting trekking expedition to the Lanín Volcano Refuge on its north face, a 9-hour experience with an intermediate difficulty level. This ascent will take you through native forests and volcanic terrain to the mountain refuge at 2300 meters above sea level.
What to expect
Ascent through Forests and Volcanic Terrain
The expedition begins with a moderately difficult trek through trails that penetrate the native forests on the northern face of Lanín Volcano. As you gain altitude, the landscape changes, leaving behind the vegetation to give way to the characteristic volcanic terrain, in a challenging ascent towards the day's objective.
Arrival at the Refuge and Descent
After overcoming the volcanic terrain sections, you will reach the goal: the mountain refuge located at 2300 meters above sea level. After a well-deserved rest and enjoying the surroundings, you will begin the descent along the same route, thus completing the exciting 9-hour expedition in total.
