What to expect
The experience begins with access by van along International Route N48, heading towards the Huahum International Pass, until reaching the base of the volcano.
The trek starts in a low grassland that leads towards the mountain, in a natural environment with great scenic expanses.
As the walk progresses, the trail enters a lenga forest where signs guide the way and allow views of the Lácar Lake valley through clearings in the forest.
When the vegetation becomes sparser, the ascent continues over a scree and a reddish rocky path that leads to the summit.
At the summit, located 1776 meters above sea level, there is a 360-degree view of the volcanic chain, including Lanín, Villarrica, Mocho Choshuenco, and Cerro Tronador in Nahuel Huapi National Park.
