What to expect
The adventure begins at the base of Cerro Mallo, entering a trail that winds through a dense native forest. During this first stage, you will experience the transition of the landscape, from the thick vegetation and the sound of local wildlife to the first clearings that offer spectacular views of the valley. It is a challenging stretch that serves as preparation and acclimatization for the final ascent.
Leaving behind the tree line, the terrain becomes rockier and more exposed for the final push to the summit. This is the most demanding segment of the journey, but every step is rewarded with increasingly expansive panoramas. Upon reaching the top of Cerro Mallo, you will enjoy an unforgettable 360-degree view of the surrounding mountains, a perfect moment to celebrate the achievement before beginning the descent.
