What to expect
Visitors must arrive directly at Viña Encierra, located 20 kilometers from Santa Cruz towards Pichilemu, in the stunning Colchagua Valley. This marks the beginning of an experience that will delight every palate.
10 MinutesIn the Sales Room, visitors will explore a selection of Viña Encierra’s best wines, including blends, carmenere, and our iconic Porel wine, created in honor of the vineyard's founder. This area is also designated for guests to leave their belongings and enjoy the tour comfortably.
10 MinutesThe tour begins in the vineyard quarters, where participants will learn about Viña Encierra’s history, the varieties of planted vines, and the production process. There will be opportunities to take photographs of the spectacular vineyard landscapes.
20 MinutesBack at the winery, visitors will learn about the production process, including the use of concrete vats that add freshness during fermentation. The tour continues to the beautiful chapel, built in a traditional Chilean style with a tiled roof, where Sunday masses are held.
10 MinutesGuests will enjoy a guided tasting of 3 reserve wines: Encierra Rosé 2023, Puquillay Cabernet Sauvignon, and Puquillay Carmenere. Each wine is characterized by its freshness, a touch of oak, and versatility for various occasions.
40 MinutesVisitors will enjoy a countryside picnic amidst the vineyard. The menu includes homemade sandwiches, pastries, fruits, cheese, water, and Encierra wine.
40 MinutesAt the end of the experience, guests can purchase wines and pairings in the Sales Room, taking home a delightful memory of Viña Encierra’s exquisite flavors.
