What to expect
The experience begins at the dive center in Taganga, where you will check in, show your certification, and receive all the necessary equipment for the dives. The instructor will help you adjust each piece and give you a detailed briefing on safety, underwater signals, and the characteristics of the dive sites you will visit that day.
30 MinutesOnce the equipment is ready, you will board the dive boat and start a short navigation to Tayrona National Park. During the journey, you can enjoy the views of its bays, mountains, and cliffs, while the team performs a final safety check before the first dive.
20 MinutesUpon arrival at the first dive site, you will prepare to enter the water and descend with the guide. This first dive usually lasts between 35 and 45 minutes, exploring reefs full of corals, tropical fish, and typical underwater formations of the area. The guide will set the pace and point out the most interesting marine life while you enjoy the surroundings in complete safety.
45 MinutesAfter the final ascent and return to the boat, you will have some rest time to hydrate, enjoy the included snacks, and relax while sharing impressions of the first dive. During this break, the tank is also changed and the equipment is prepared for the second dive.
30 MinutesThe day continues at a new dive site within the park. This second dive offers a different scenario to continue exploring, with possibilities of seeing turtles, rays, colorful schools of fish, and a wide variety of corals. Again, the instructor or divemaster will guide you on a safe and tailored tour according to your level.
45 MinutesAfter the dives are completed, you will start the return journey by boat to Taganga, enjoying a peaceful ride while some of the equipment is dismantled and final comments are shared. Back at the dive center, you will return the equipment, rinse your personal gear, and conclude an unforgettable underwater experience.
