Guided hiking in the Serra da Cantareira is an invitation to explore one of the largest urban forests in the world, combining physical challenge with exceptional panoramic views of the city of São Paulo.
What to expect
Pick up and departure from São Paulo
Start of the activity with departure from São Paulo.
Pedra Grande Nucleus and hike to the viewpoint
Tour through the São Paulo Forest Reserve to the Pedra Grande viewpoint (1,010 m). A 7 km hike, moderate level due to the slope, with observation of Atlantic Forest flora.
Engordador Nucleus and trails along the stream
Visit to the old São Paulo water supply system (pumping station, dam, and reservoir). Additional 3 km hike along trails crossing the Engordador stream, with the possibility of bathing in a waterfall.
Drop off and end of the activity
Return and end of the activity at Cantareira State Park.
