What to expect
We will transfer from the accommodation in Arequipa to the city of Moquegua to start the tour.
We will visit the Plaza de Armas of Moquegua and learn about the history of its ornamental fountains. Then we will enter the Contisuyo Museum to observe pre-Hispanic pieces, mummies, ceramics, and textiles.
We will visit the Santo Domingo Church, where Saint Fortunata is present in her body, as well as explore traditional houses of the city.
We will tour the Traditional Belén Neighborhood, its houses with corbels and balconies, the facade of the house of Mercedes Cabello de Carbonera, and the House of Culture with the oldest jar in South America from 1540.
After the tour and lunch at the passenger's expense, we will transfer back to Arequipa and the accommodation.
