What to expect
Pick up at your hotel in Arequipa at 6:30 AM to start the Loncco Route.
Tour through the town of Quequeña to visit the Museum of the Martyrs and the petroglyphs of Guayalopo and Curlaca.
Climb to the viewpoint to admire the terraces and the possibility to visit the church of Quequeña.
Tour through the picturesque plaza of Sogay and the sillar stone houses on the terraces overlooking the Yarabamba river.
Arrival at Uzuña lagoon, where optional activities such as boat rides, kayaking, or sport fishing can be done, and you will have free time for lunch.
Brief walk through the historic center of Mollebaya to see archaeological remains and the communal batán, an ancient machine for processing fabrics.
Visit to the plaza of Characato and its church with water springs.
Tour through Sabandía to see the church of the Virgin of the Rosary and the 17th-century mill built with sillar stone.
Return to Arequipa and drop off in an area near the Plaza de Armas around 5:00 PM.
