What to expect
Pickup from downtown Arequipa hotels or meeting at the Plaza de Armas in front of the cathedral to start the early morning transfer.
First stop in the town of Yanque to enjoy a typical breakfast and stretch your legs.
Arrival at the Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint to watch the flight of the condors and the views of the Colca Canyon.
Stop in the town of Maca to stroll through its streets, visit the colonial church, and see locals in traditional dress.
Journey through the valley observing the ancient agricultural terraces that are still in use.
Visit to the valley's thermal pools to relax before continuing to Chivay.
Arrival in Chivay, the valley's capital, where you will spend the night and have free time to explore the town.
After breakfast, depart from Chivay towards the Apurímac River, known as the source of the Amazon River.
Walk around the surroundings of the Apurímac River to observe the clear water currents, Andean birds, and llamas.
Return to Arequipa with a last stop at Patapampa to admire volcanoes and mountains, ending at the Plaza de Armas.
