What to expect
First, meet your guide at the hotel (private option) and go with them to the Santo Domingo cable car station, which is the meeting point for the shared tour, that will take you to the viewpoint in the communes. Observe parts of the city from this higher vantage point.
Then, return to the Santo Domingo station to take the cable car again, which you must purchase in the shared version, but this time heading towards the mountains. After a 15-minute ride, arrive at the Arví station, the park and natural reserve.
Arví Park is a natural wonder at the top of the eastern mountains of the Medellín valley. It is important to mention that many tourists go there on their own, but miss much of it due to its size; they don’t know where to walk, where the important places are, or how to get around the mountains. But we will accompany you.
Once there, walk along several indigenous trails, streams, and natural pools and learn about their history and importance. Birdwatching is a common activity in this park, as it is home to hundreds of species of both fauna and flora. If possible, enjoy some time in the streams and waterfalls.
After walking for a few hours in this paradise, you will be taken to the station and from there to your hotel. Give yourself the chance to mix and discover the best of both sides of this warm city.
