Important information
- The Rapa Nui National Park ticket must be purchased before the start of the excursion. Carrying the ticket is mandatory for entry to any archaeological site. It is personal and non-transferable. Points of sale: Online and Ma’u Henua Ticket Office in downtown Hanga Roa.
- The National Park administration, Ma'u Henua, may order the closure of the Orongo site as a safety measure, mainly due to winds over 40 km/h, and the visit to Rano Kau may be suspended. Depending on availability, the visit can be rescheduled.
