The best time to visit the Porta del Sol region in western Puerto Rico is from December to April, when the weather is drier and cooler. It is the perfect season to enjoy sunsets on the beaches of Rincón, surf, explore iconic lighthouses, and eat fresh seafood in Joyuda. Keep in mind that these months are the high season, especially in beach destinations like Cabo Rojo and Rincón, which get very crowded during winter holidays and Easter. If you want to avoid large crowds, weekdays or transition months like May are good alternatives.
