What to expect
You will be picked up from hotels in downtown Arequipa or the Plaza de Armas to start the trip to the high Andean zone via the Arequipa – Puno road. We will make a stop at Patahuasi to have breakfast on your own and enjoy the puna landscapes.
We will continue to the starting point of the hike to the Pillones Waterfalls. We will walk a rocky trail to reach the base of the waterfall, where there will be time to enjoy the scenery, take photos, and explore the surroundings.
We will visit the Imata Stone Forest to observe its large volcanic rock formations shaped by wind and rain erosion, with time to explore the area and photograph its curious figures.
We will arrive at the town of Imata, where there will be free time to rest and enjoy a local lunch on your own.
We will begin the return to Arequipa, crossing again the natural landscapes of the Arequipa highlands until the tour ends in the city.
