What to expect
Start of the tour departing from Arequipa towards the Colca Valley.
Scenic route through Yura, skirting the Chachani volcano and high Andean landscapes.
Stop to observe vicuñas in their natural habitat and appreciate the reserve's landscapes.
Brief stop during the ascent to rest and drink coca tea.
Visit to the highest point of the route, located at approximately 4,800 m above sea level, with views of volcanoes and mountains in the region.
Descent towards the Colca Valley and arrival at the town of Chivay.
Time to optionally visit the La Calera hot springs, surrounded by mountains.
Optional dinner with a presentation of typical dances from the Colca region.
Transfer to the hotel in Chivay to end the day.
Early start of the tour towards the Colca Canyon after breakfast.
Visit to the viewpoint to observe the flight of the Andean condor and appreciate the depth of the Colca Canyon.
Stops to observe pre-Inca terraces, ancient tombs, and landscapes of the Colca Valley.
