What to expect
We will pick you up from hotels located in downtown Arequipa between 3:00 AM and 3:30 AM. An alternative meeting point will also be available at the Arequipa Plaza de Armas.
We will travel to Chivay, where we will enjoy breakfast before continuing the journey to the Colca Valley.
We will stop at the Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint to watch the flight of the Andean condor and admire the stunning views of the Colca Canyon.
We will continue to La Pampa de San Miguel, passing through Cabanaconde, where we will begin the descent on foot into the canyon, traversing Andean trails and landscapes.
We will arrive at the village of San Juan de Chucho to enjoy a typical lunch before continuing the hike.
We will continue the trek crossing the traditional villages of Cosñirhua and Malata, where we can also visit a small local museum.
We will finish the day's hike arriving at the Oasis of Sangalle, where we can relax in the natural pools, enjoy dinner, and spend the night at the Sangalle Lodge.
Very early we will start the ascent from the Oasis of Sangalle to the village of Cabanaconde to continue the journey.
We will enjoy breakfast while waiting for transportation to continue the return to Chivay.
During the journey, we will visit the Colca hot springs, where you can optionally enjoy a thermal bath by paying the corresponding entrance fee.
We will make a stop in Chivay, where you will have time to have lunch optionally and on your own.
During the return, we will make stops at the Volcanoes Viewpoint, the Tocra bofedales, and the Pampa Cañahuas National Reserve, where we can observe vicuñas, alpacas, and llamas.
We will finish the tour with the transfer back to the city of Arequipa, where the service will conclude at approximately 5:30 PM.
