What to expect
You travel in the morning from Bogotá to Ibagué, taste the Tolimense lechona, and visit the Mundo Sonoro Museum. Overnight in Ibagué with dinner and rest.
You ascend by vehicle to Palomar, have breakfast, and begin the hike through the páramo of Los Nevados National Natural Park with environmental interpretation and lunch at Vancouver farm.
You do trekking through mountain lagoons such as El Encanto and Valle del Placer, arrive at the base camp (El Calvito or Arenales) for preparation and rest before the summit.
You start the summit attempt at dawn crossing superpáramo and glacier edge. If the summit is reached, you descend to base camp, dismantle, and return on foot to the origin farms.
After breakfast, you cross the park towards Cocora Valley, make an interpretive stop in Toche to learn about the wax palm forest, and continue to Salento to stay overnight at a hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to the airport chosen by the traveler: El Edén in Armenia or Matecaña in Pereira with assistance for boarding and end of the program.
