What to expect
You will meet at Plaza de Bolívar in Ibagué at 7:00 AM to start the experience; arrive early for registration.
You will arrive at Pastales to enjoy a breakfast sandwich before starting the hike to the waterfall.
You will walk approximately 9 km to the waterfall, observe a variety of flora and fauna, and enjoy the landscape and the waterfall.
You will have an à la carte lunch at Villa Restrepo after the morning hike.
You will return to Ibagué and stay at the F25 hotel to rest after the first day of activity.
You will leave the hotel at 7:00 AM to continue the route through the region.
You will enjoy a typical Tolima Grande breakfast: lechona, before taking the National Road.
You will stop at viewpoints to contemplate the central mountain range and the Magdalena River during the journey.
You will walk about 3 km to the crater of Machín Volcano at 2,750 meters above sea level, where you will have lunch at the crater's edge.
After lunch, you will have the opportunity to bathe in hot springs as part of the day's experience.
You will arrive in Toche in the afternoon, have dinner, and rest at a local hostel to prepare for the next day's activities.
You will start the third day with breakfast before heading out to explore the local trails.
You will walk a trail of approximately 2 km full of native orchids that ends at the Toche cemetery.
You will enter the largest wax palm forest in the world in Toche, with a route of about 5 km at 2,500 meters above sea level.
You will have a typical peasant dish for lunch in the village of Toche before starting the return journey.
You will return to Ibagué via the road to Cajamarca with an approximate arrival at 6:00 PM, where the experience will end.
