What to expect

Day 1: Departure from Bogotá to Honda

You depart from Bogotá at 07:00 heading towards the western Andes, take a break for breakfast between Villeta and Guaduas, visit Guaduas for its historical heritage, and arrive in Honda to have lunch and navigate the Magdalena River before lodging.

Day 2: Traditional fishing and visit to Mariquita with arrival in Líbano

You wake up early to experience a day of traditional fishing with Magdalena river guides, have breakfast in Honda, visit Mariquita to explore its historic center and have lunch, then continue to Líbano where you enjoy the coffee region atmosphere and stay overnight.

Day 3: Wool spinning workshop in Murillo and Ruiz hot springs

You travel to Murillo to participate in a wool spinning workshop with local artisans, have lunch in the town, and then head to the Ruiz Hot Springs to rest and enjoy the thermal waters.

Day 4: Visit to Los Nevados National Natural Park and arrival in Manizales

You enter Los Nevados National Natural Park to explore the Valley of the Tombs and observe volcanic formations and lagoons while a guide explains the geology and biodiversity, then descend to Manizales to stay overnight.

Day 5: Bird and orchid watching at La Romelia Farm

You visit La Romelia Farm to observe endemic birds and tour the orchid collection, learn about conservation and ecology, and have lunch at the farm before returning to Manizales.

Day 6: Final transfer to Pereira
